The german title for this blog entry is a saying that is impossible to translate. And for that reason I will try. We played with a band yesterday called Holzweg (www.holzweg-musik.at)… which means wood way translated. To be on the wood way – in german – means to go astray. So the german title was “Not on the wood way”…german lesson closed – if you do want to use this expression in english, feel free to enrich your language. It might start a new trend. Anyway it was Holzweg’s birthday gig which they invited us to come to and play.
What an honour. We had a great gig and when we had finished we drove to the chapel in Salzburg where we stayed the night. We slept in the youthroom where the true highlight of the day happened. There was a dartboard…i was around 7 meters away from it…I took a shot…I nailed it right into the 3×20 slot. What a triumph, which couldn’t even be tainted by the fact that I had to repair the dartboard in the middle of the night, because I had broken it with my gold shot.
What was cool apart from the concert and the dart thing – yesterday was the official releasedate of our new album “Home Is Where The Heart Breaks” in Europe. We’ve found reviews online and there’s been quite some buzz going on which we’re really happy about. Also the single “You Should Be Dancing” is on airplay in Germany too and we’re excited about that! Check out our music section – it’s updated with the new stuff!
Cheers.
